Manual Button Reset Type

Overview

Manual reset fault indicators (MRs) are best applied as troubleshooting tools rather than permanently-installed fault-indicating solutions. When a fault occurs, the MRs reflective red display indicates the passage of fault current. Manually reset MRs installed on overhead or underground lines using the SEL MT magnet reset tool.

Applications

Install MRs on sections of line that experience frequent temporary faults. The MR will help line crews identify those portions of line that require repair or upgrading
Line-powered: no batteries necessary
Easy to install with a single hotstick
Remains in the tripped position until manually reset using the MT reset tool
UV-stabilized materials provide excellent weatherability
