Install SEL low-voltage reset ground fault detectors on three-phase cables without opening the primary. The split sensing core allows for installation on cables with diameters of up to 100 mm. The low-voltage secondary source must derive its power from the primary source. Because the primary is disconnected, the GFD will not prematurely reset before primary system restoration. The GFD trips when the vector sum of the currents within the sensing core exceeds the nominal trip rating for longer than 1 ms. The red target remains until the secondary voltage source is restored.
