1CRV fault indicators are typically installed on underground systems near sectionalizing points. 1CRV fault indicators are ideal in single-phase applications where test point type connectors are not available to install a voltage reset indicator. In livefront switchgear applications, install the 1CRV on the outgoing feed, with its phase sensor installed below the stress relief terminator located in the pad or in the pedestal.
The indicator’s remote display load extends up to near the top of the cabinet for mounting at the optimum location. The 1CRV is also well suited to subsurface network switchgear and the switching structure of wall- mounted switchgear.
To help keep wires tidy and in place, try SEL magnetic cable guides. They securely position the cable against the inside of the cabinet wall, but are easy to reposition when pulling elbows or working inside the enclosure.
SEL offers a SCADA-compatible auxiliary contact feature on the 1CRV. This normally open latching-type contact closes when a fault occurs and will not open until normal system load current is restored for 30 continuous seconds. |
